5th Travel and adventure,
Pfff .. Here's a beginning, a sequence to find formulations and the end is really much we schwierig.Fangen with the well-known around trips to Reykjavik:
Golden Circle and Blue Lagoon.
Golden Circle: First goal: Thingvellir. A gigantic sight: how proofness DI European continental plate slowly but surely (2 mm per year) of the North American away ... Kerid a remarkable 3000Jahre old geyser explosion craters and their very active little friend Strokkur. The sight of the many enthusiastic seething hot pots, and geysers me, "went into the air completely, and when Strokkur a few times, I simply stopped the mouth offen.Gullfoss The Golden Waterfall is Iceland most famous waterfall. He shoots on 32m in two cascades into a narrow gorge. This natural phenomenon is also in the winter when it is decorated with sparkling ice very besuchungswert.
trip to the Blue Lagoon:
An organized tour led by the University and to the house of the Icelandic President and to the Blue Lagoon. The Blue Lagoon: With their milky spa water, this spa pass something very special for body, mind and soul. Click to splash has been a very special flair, in desolate black lava landscape, surrounded by the steam hisses repeatedly from the geysers, and water you can ever at will be to drive the different temperatures, since it's a natural lake, there are hotter and not so hot Cookies, depending on need. The water is rich in blue-green algae, minerals and fine silica mud, maintain the skin and exfoliate. And it really true then feels as soft as a baby's bottom.
Tölderer through Iceland is certainly one of the "must do" the right Icelanders, comfortable, and do not bring calm to Tölderer with you on the back through the area. It's not a great experience as a horse lover.
Other fun excursions around Reykjavik:
Snæfellsnes: this unique peninsula, it's in a day out but I personally would recommend a weekend with an overnight stay only for a better relaxation and Capacity.
Thjórsá: along the longest river of Iceland combined with a relaxing dip in one of the hot items Tag.Esja perfect: a beautiful walk which, although sometimes a bit breathtaking, but the outlook is beautiful "striking".
bathing in a hot river ...
Simply go to the Reykjavik-buses through the area ... especially
Hafnarfjördur is a beautiful place.
If you have the chance to live in Reykjavik, one should not neglect the many great concerts. And are we already in love with so many Icelandic and foreign bands.
The many trips and Entertainment with the University ...
The tour around the island ...
without many words - just FANTASTIC!

Kulusuk: Reykjavik - Kulusuk: 2 hours flying time, and already the flight to Kulusuk was soooo amazing ... Although Kulusuk in East Greenland is visited annually by thousands of tourists, the village is still remarkably untouched by foreign influence. As in the other villages of the district, to the original Greenlandic culture can experience up close ... also ranked high in my list of highlights - if you can ever make a ranking - I prefer Berso the list (and here I have never found all the above, but all I want to not tell ;-) without ranking for every trip, every experience, every event and has its own special place in my heart.

Then we dived in Museum in Borganes into the life of the "top Vikings" Egil Skallagrimson.
Then we have inspected the farm and surrounding areas of Egil Skallagrimson lived, if he is not in Norway, the British Isles or elsewhere was on a rampage and fighting.
Finally, we were still lick of Icelandic fish and a pleasant evening invited.
Thanks to Þórður it was really a great day!

Icelanders are excellent - i my horses so!
comfortably, and do not put out of it with you on the back due Tölderer the area. Unfortunately, they go as to the succession here, always the same distance it is they do not care if you almost fall off because the saddle is too loose ...

Craft tradition Trip

Sims 3 How To Get Rid Of Curfew

gone fast ... ..

Halli Hallo!
Uch the second half of March is now gone pretty fast ...
Well no wonder if one takes a long time ever experienced the fast ...

middle of the month I got from this unique opportunity to make a trip out to Kulusuk, and of course because I did not hesitate and I immediately sent an email to the organizer ... but the answer lies in coming .. . and my hope is getting smaller ... But then everything went quickly here ...
Isabella a dear friend and "old" travel colleague, called am very excited to, they've just found a flight to Iceland, if she can come for two weeks? Of course I was happy to get visitors from Austria, I told her that the same but still this little Fuzerl hope is to fly to Kulusuk and whether they would ride, and in less than 5 minutes they decided and booked their flight! Juhu Isa comes to visit me and so far I still get two seats they accompanied me to Kulusuk !!!!!!

short: Wednesday I can book the trip to Kulusuk, Friday has come Isa, Lisa's dad on Saturday, Sunday we climbed Esja, Monday Blue Lagoon, Reykjavik, Tuesday, we have and Akranes Wednesday we visited and took off to Greenland!

Reykjavik - Kulusuk: 2 hours flying time, and already the flight to Kulusuk was soooo amazing ...
after only about an hour, we could already see the icebergs below us ...

A small outbreak of swine we suffered when the pilot suddenly the landing dock-although far and no runway was in sight ... but no wonder the 500 meters long and 7 meters wide runway with the left and right of a 5-meter-high snow / ice wall is of course difficult to know ...

in Kulusuk, we got (a very nice English girl, Isa, me and a very, very "weird" s German - He was really very very funny and has completely fulfilled every negative Klische on German ..) our own little red house. Where we had more than enough room, we had a well equipped kitchen, shower and a "Shit-bucked. So all you need.

Now some information:

The population of East Greenland lives
still very much on, in and with nature - are the sea, the ice, the mountains and hunting animals vital for most people.

Just over 100 years since the first Europeans to the inhabited areas of the east coast first reached. The traditional Eskimo culture plays therefore remains a key role in daily life. The spiritual part of the East Greenland culture for centuries through myths and legends handed down. Although Christianity has taken the east coast of Greenland, the original belief is reflected in art and continue in the craft of the local artist again, producing works of stone, bone and tooth. The traditional drum dance is listed on special occasions even more.
(Easter meeting)

A Tupilak was originally a figure from many different natural materials
and remains of animals, birds and human bones was assembled. The tupilak
symbolize an evil spirit that his receiver would bring bad luck. Today
the tupilaks carved figures that illustrate the magic of the past should. And they are very popular souvenirs.
Kulusuk (in Danish: Kap Dan) is a population of about 33o in Ostgrönlanf village on the island at the entrance of Ammassalik Fjord.
He is also a central place for air travel can be hard to imagine when you think of the airport with us. The runway is said only 500 meters long and consists of sand and volcanic ash ...

The area is known for numerous polar bears which come in the winter on the ice and are hunted by the people, (we have unfortunately seen no living ..) and please now get a false picture: with the polar bears the Eissschollen have meet so far in the South no chance of survival because they do not make it go back to the North and in the spring and summer in the south is too warm for them.
Although Kulusuk is visited annually by thousands of tourists, the village is still remarkably untouched by foreign influence. As in the other settlements in the district
, You can see the original Greenlandic culture here from up close
. Fishing and service industries are on the rise, but the catching of seals, whales and polar bears makes for most families still have a
important revenue source
In Kulusuk to find some of the ablest craftsmen of Greenland, and in particular
their tupilaks are of particular high quality.
old and new under one roof!
Although the corrugated fiberglass dinghy and are now common everywhere, the traditional fishing
equipment such as kayak, harpoon, and in particular the Huskies still regularly used. In this way, the population of the settlements in a position to adopt new products in use, while retaining their traditional cultural values.

A few insights in a week Kulusuk:

in Kulusuk Easter: The Easter Mass was a fair as it should be! a nice get together of all the villagers in the small church, the children playing, babies were breastfed, the people sang together ... casual ...

sledding ....

the children as soon as they alone can move it even slides his butt down the snowy and icy Hügerln, and when they "finally" so far, and the land a carriage, Bob, or the like can they really fly down the mountain! As the carriage were in great demand, they were always full.

But it really is a great "sport". I'm excited as the children themselves slipped over the mountains ... to fly incredible experiences, a full moon and northern lights over the ice ...
dog sled ride ...
unique ... really great!

Jersey Jumper Guerney Sweater

Halli hallo
now I have to still write fast because the next few weeks promise to be quite busy ...

today I want to tell you about an incredible, adventurous, exciting, white, cool, memorable and truly amazing trip of five friends.

time of the events: Friday
Destination / Area of activity: Penninsular
Reykjavik meeting place: 9:30
Klausturstígur 5 (No. 205)

Friday morning Everything was already prepared, the table turned themselves with delicacies : Käsestangerl, cereals, Skyr, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, cinnamon buns, Weckerln, jam ... (Unfortunately there was this special Fridays No Pancakes and Scrambled Eggs because the business people in Iceland are a little hard in the morning out of bed ...)
because it must be said: woman / man must wake up properly before you start, but since the car will only release had shoveled late the whole ceremony a little.
went after this hearty breakfast it go. Packed with lunch packet, hiking pants, hiking boots, camera, hood, gloves ... crept ended three Finnish and two Austrian compatriots into a white Volvo. (it must be applied Weis was actually a very inappropriate color. On this particular day, why? It snowed and snowed, everything was white and so is the car The consequences? -> Reference to point one sees not so well known, so they decided to return to the car always to see something I do not see what you play. I see something that you do not see and that is a small black or metallic spot - perhaps the most mature? or was it just a stone? which has been blown by the wind on a snow-free spots)
first goal : Þingvellir : on the way there, the 5 enthusiastic friends was laid the first adventure in his hands. with narrowed eyes, and the highest concentration was the best drivers in the world behind the wheel and drove his five friends know for sure by the Landschaft.doch in white at one time was the endless white interrupted by a yellow / red fleck ... Joona the driver was cautiously slow and stopped. 4 brave Finnish and Austrian Mädls fought bravely against the storm and trudged to the light in digging parked car ... but the young, cool post man refused the offer of help - he only made a small "cigarettes stop" ... On we go and without major incidents reached their first goal five - Thingvellir.
A gigantic sight: how proofness DI European continental plate slowly but surely (2 mm per year) of the North American away ...
After a stroll between the two plates, and the successful search game (this time the friends were quite clever, because they had parked next to a red car which was in the white snow more visible), hopped back all in the car and off we went ...

direction Kerid the way to the remarkable 3000Jahre old explosion crater was especially exciting due to the weather. A narrow road winds along the lake, it should perhaps be mentioned that on this narrow, narrow street between 50 and 60 cm fresh snow was only by the car tracks one could guess how the road runs. Joona of the best drivers in the world lay within one kilometer back to the other, the occupants Although the car was a bit tense but they trusted their Joona Hjaltalin and accompanied by a particularly thrilling minutes. The five friends suddenly are confronted with a small pitch a car in the middle of the street saw ... power supply as the 3 fins and 2 Austrians are just, got all 5 from the car and trudged through the snow to the standing car. Two British Mädls left turn and the courage they wanted. But this would have been sent not very because most of them had already gone through so e so they need so e only this last pitch, and then you go up to the major street only e relatively flat over there ... so they witnessed the Mädls and they give you a few good tips and then it started again. But the two English girls were not to drive ... no big words to Joona sat behind the wheel and drove the two Mädls sure about this "Hupferl" up. Then ran again for the good guy all the way back to his friends to pick up. Unfortunately, her car was a little now out of practice and caught not quite the slope, The girls were just here grew in Iceland too much ... No problem for the girls who they jumped from the car and helped provide a bit of a bath to ... sweat but very easy reach the 5, finally, the major road at least half-way cleared was. And already they are at Kerid, in this vast volcanic crater in the summer concerts again, and got 5 already daydreaming about how great it would be like to sit on the crater slopes and listen to one of the great Icelandic bands.

Then I went to good old (bad) Lady, geyser and their very active little friend Strokkur. The sight of the many seething hot pots, and geysers inspired the friends completely, and when Strokkur a few times "in the Air," remained open to them the mouth. Next

Only a short piece, 4 Target: Gullfoss
The Golden Waterfall is Iceland's most famous Waterfall. He shoots about 32m in two cascades into a narrow gorge. Now the friends was gone for the spit, as this spectacle is now adorned with sparkling ice in winter.

The highlight of this trip was already so overwhelming that the visit of a friend in Selfoss, where the three were Finns and the two Austrians a guided tour and were entertained by his mother (a proper Iceland breast). A short walk through Selfoss and the first real contact with skin really sweet Islandpferdchen round trip from the beautiful. Joona brought his friends still safely back to Reykjavik, and they promised yet more so-great tours vacated by Finland and Austria.

So my love could you now accompany her into a super fine day the two friends in Iceland.

Replacement Rubbermaid Garbage Pail Covers

February Part II

Ups! I just got on it today is indeed the first of March already ... (I have sweaty this February has only 29 days so, why does my monthly plan do not match ...)
Today I want to show small sections, in which I describe what else we do all live, learn, learn to see ... (because of the cutouts or I would take hours, days, Weeks to write and I have not the time course (have to understand it) the time is short and precious ;-) and sprayed over here really ...
trip to the Blue Lagoon :
An organized tour of the university and led to the house of the Icelandic President and to the Blue Lagoon. The Blue Lagoon: With their milky spa water, this spa pass something very special for body, mind and soul. Here's to Plant already has a very special flair, in desolate black lava landscape, surrounded by the hissing steam from the geysers and over again, and in the water can, depending on the desired drive the different temperatures can be because it's a natural lake, there are hotter and not so hot spots so as required. The water is rich in blue-green algae, minerals and fine silica mud, maintain the skin and exfoliate. And really it was then feels as soft as a baby's bottom.

concerts :
If you have the chance to live in Reykjavik, one should not neglect the many great concerts. And are we already in love with so many Icelandic and foreign bands.

Brunch :
may After a sleepless night Reykjavik missing the next day, a hearty breakfast, which was rather a brunch of course not!
Mmmmhhhh ... delicious with a huge mountain pancakes, freshly baked pastries, all kinds of fruit ... I would get used to it quickly!

Move your Cucu :
... pictures speak for themselves ...

trips me Eggert:
are always exciting and you should do not miss!
Especially exciting was our first long trip to a hot spring with him. This week it has snowed a lot again, but we were lucky the day before the hats again thawed a bit and so the road just opened again but it was just some still snow-covered road and our Professor a true genius, in respect of Snow road ride ... the Icelanders, and I can n not understand in these weather conditions but they are not really good at dealing with snow, so has done it the good Lord actually giving us in the middle of somewhere, namely in the parking lot! down in the deep snow has and of course we are stuck ... and he, our Austrian Finnish knowledge and did not think he has dug us so good we had no chance to come to the conclusion without the help of this beautiful place away ... The situation was exacerbated because really was in the "Icelandic Pampa" is no mobile phone reception on this road and almost no traffic, perhaps a car in two hours ... Yes look around for longer, we could finally find a shaky connection and press for emergency ... after 2 ½ hours we were finally saved! But it was really a nice place, everywhere hats steamed and bubbled from the earth, only the sulfur smell (rotten eggs) was a little uncomfortable, but over time I'm going to Smell even a little usual. Which the hot water comes so directly from the earth, I had in the beginning always feel after showering more stink than before, and the soup must boil it totally watch the one used in good cold water, and this time from run leaves at one of our first soups we have cooked, we were a little careless, the end result was a soup to a rotten-egg sulfur smell-taste and smell had ... (not to eat)
but you get used to much and if you can run off properly, the cold water is really very good!

The second trip excursion worked better, (there was no snow) only mud, but our Prof back in the same outfit (suit and shoes) was this time almost in the mud, but this recovery was not so complicated ... 's was really roam great in de r craters around to explore a cave and to look for elves, goblins and 'hidden people' look-out.

So enough for now, I have to catch my beauty sleep now, because here is very nice on the track!

Handcuffed Headscissors

Yikes! time flies here so
fast ... this afternoon I need to take a quick look in the calendar can and found with horror that today already the 20th February is ... In recent weeks we have made so much that it is almost right now stressful ...

Let's start at the Carnival week:
☼ Rose Monday here in Iceland Bolludagur , in preparation for the carnival season on this day mainly spherical food are increased. Filled with passion but also meat Brandteigkrapferln Camisole, Camisole vegetables and other spherical foods.

☼ Shrove Tuesday is the Sprengidagur , a delicious holiday before Lent. Occasion for a traditional feast of salted lamb and pea soup.
Shrove Tuesday for us: After a long Uni-tag, we were invited by our dear Finns to a delicious dinner of Finland. There was a tasty casserole and delicious as a dessert Finnish Bollur.

THANKS to Katariina, Laura and Hanna! S was a fantastic evening! Eat as well as society
!

☼ Ash Wednesday , Öskudagur : on that day should be given special care so that you do not get attached a little bag filled with ash. draw also covered on this day the children through the streets and shops, sing and say in Proverbs, to raise money and sweets.

Wednesday for us: In the morning we were in the field and have celebrated Carnival with "our" children. All were made up and then we all met and it was celebrated and danced together. It also gave
in Reykjavik this evening a winter parade, the funny thing in this move was the reverse of the processes occurring with us. If you go with us to move then you stand and watch the parade and attracts a passing. Here it is just the opposite, the "relocation" and the audience is almost through the city from one station to another and watching the "standing move" on.

☼ Thursday was (like every Thursday) a great concert that we were on course to miss any circumstances.

☼ Friday then found that for us from the university organized Þorrablót (the traditional midwinter festival dinner) instead. Where we traditional Icelandic Delights were indulged. Schmanckeln how SVID [boiled sheep's head (with eye)], súrsaðir hrútspungar , hárkarl [Islands [ram's testicles in whey loaded] famous, infamous specialty: Greenland shark, which is so difficult to digest, that he once eingebuddelt doing nothing for six months in the ground must. It is worth mentioning that the taste is much better even than the smell (stink the whole university and the surrounding area smelled of these delicacies, or better) but the sharpest wahrsc heinlich is the aftertaste of the Brennivin but as a powerful antidote swallowing (potato liquor) is served,
... This is just a small part of the realm of Icelandic delicacies are.
brave Austrian ladies are just like us, we had to by each cost, even if it was just a little bit. But I must admit my stomach felt a bit strange to then.

☼ Saturday was then held a candlelight walk. Headlamps equipped me we went up 17 clock (in this already dark night) on the way Eyas (mountain Reykjavik) to climb. In order to look at the illuminated city. The weather gave us a small section of the bill ... → heavy snow and wind, or rather storm! In addition, it had snowed the whole week alternately rained and then frozen and snowed again on it so it was under 20 - 80 cm fresh snow a sheet of ice the steep climb quite difficult. Due to the heavy snowfall we had to do that we lose the person is not before us in the eye and the storm was so strong that we each squalls (and it followed one after the other) unless we were careful half a meter next to the way found us because he really wore them (WITHOUT Schme!)
The whole action was then stopped just before the summit, the weather was too bad and the situation became too dangerous. But it was really a unique and wonderful experience has really paid off yet, or perhaps due to these conditions! And is certainly one of the highlights of our stay here in Iceland.
A little tired but with an adrenaline rush then we went off into the night ;-) Reykjaviksche

Durable Inside Rc Heli

Hello from Ísland

It is once again time to have heard of me ... Now we are

for 28 days here and we have already settled quite well.

At the university?
We are currently 8 foreign students (two Dutch women, an Italian, two from Finland and our only Mädls Man in the round Julien from France, two from Spain Mädls are still to come in early February to do so.)

are also very interesting courses offered to us.
Icelandic language and use
(Icelandic is quite difficult because there are an incredible number of cases and the words change all the time but with no rules and so the stem does not recognize it.)
Nature of Iceland and outdoor education
This course is really very interesting, next week we start - if the weather is our first trip.
Gods and Heroes, Family Saga, Folk Tales Fairy Tale
Yes this is real exciting, we learn about the ghosts, trolls and hidden people of Iceland and each of us also tells tales or legends of his country.
The funny thing is that the stories here are still not as old in Iceland as we already are, to some. So we have read as a ghost story and then we told our professor that this spirit is also his grandfather has been released.
Icelandic Craft tradition
We are currently working just with silver, working with wood and glass will follow.
We have already produced a ring and a necklace, the jewelry has become really very beautiful.
Group dynamics and Drama in Education
Our professor here is really great, it was the way in the 60 years the most famous Icelandic rock singer.
We will also visit another visual arts course and choir (haha I sing - but leads the lady in the choir, is very nice and funny and so does sing a lot of fun)
Teaching Practical
This is particularly exciting. The children and the teachers are very friendly and have been warmly received. Although we quite often "LOST IN TRANSLATION", we see ourselves very well ;-)

apartment? Hm ...
Our apartment is very nice and very big! Only very very very expensive and we drive 35 minutes by bus to the city, in bad weather and at peak hours of fun can take up to one hour. Moreover, in the night goes well no bus. Friday is not a problem go away for Saturday, the first bus leaves at 6:30 so I have only until Sunday morning, the first departure at 9:30 and that's a long time. The Icelanders are very extensively when to go, but the last bar off but then also have about a 6 clock.

weather?
Yes the weather changes within less than two hours of snow storm with hail to sunshine and back to snow storm and if you turn around raining again ...
And all are available in different versions with and without wind, with storms, or even with a fine fresh breeze ... this disturbs me
but no, no, I find `s very exciting, yes I like it actually ...

food?
well taken care of: From the sheep are to head to the bull's testicles in all bonus related to So you see here is nothing from us!

Sun until the next time
Much love from the far north!
